As a final point, go and invest into a university/college with ladderized IT education, top-notched facilities and affiliations, peppered with technically-equipped teaching workforce! But then again, no matter how good the effort of IT school you're in if you're not doing your part as a learner, it's all useless.

How To Delete Undeletable File or Folder Using Notepad?

When trying to delete an undeletable file or folder, you must have surely faced this error message:

Cannot delete. Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use

This error message usually occurs when you’re trying to remove a file/folder currently in use by your computer or a certain program/services is currently accessing the file. But most often, this error message occurs when you’re trying to delete a file with file attributes modified by a malware (usually hidden, write-protected and stored at 0KB by size). Why do we actually need to trash such files when they’re not bogging anyway on our computer? Simple. We hate seeing them residing on our hard drives.

This article will walk you through on how to permanently delete “Recycler” folder and persistent .BAT files, .EXEs, and other undeletable files in minutes.

Deleting undeletable file/folder using notepad

The simplest way to delete an undeletable file/folder is to create the same file/folder within that directory using only your native notepad. Here’s how:

1. Open your Notepad by clicking Start>Run and type Notepad. This should launch a new Notepad document.
2. Optionally, you can type anything in your Notepad but leaving it blank will do.
3. Click File and Save As. This should open a Save As dialog.
4. Locate the directory where your undeletable file/folder is.
5. On the ‘File Type’ box, choose All Files.
6. Click once on the undeletable file you want to force delete and its filename should appear in ‘File Name’ box (e.g. Autorun.inf).
7. Put a double quote (“) at the start and end of the file name. This instructs Notepad to overwrite it. So from Autorun.inf, it should now be ”Autorun.inf”. Then, hit Save.

Notepad should now prompt you to overwrite the existing file, just choose Yes and that’s it! You can now delete an undeletable file/folder as normal.

The Worsening Industry-Academic Collaboration in Northern Mindanao

There's something wrong going on right now between the IT industry and academic institutions in the region. And this worsening industry-academic collaboration needs immediate attention -- a reconstruction.

In Cagayan de Oro city alone, the large proportion of IT students graduated unprepared to the next battleground of survival for this reason: students are trained how to make a buko juice while the industry required them to be knowledgable in making pineapple juice.

The point is: students are trained so well in schools, but not to meet the growing needs of the industry.

Location-based, geo-tagging services are now on the rise, and Opera pretty understands that. A mobile browser that can point out your current location is quite possibly an update that Opera can craft off this 2011. It's possible, I tell you!

You can now post audio/voice message as attachment to your status updates on Twitter with Twaud.io -- another cool web service that lets you share audio, MP3 with your Twitter followers. You can think of it as Twitpic but for audio/mp3s.

Uploading audio, voice message on Twitter is really easy. Just click either upload or record, upload your mp3 file or record it directly on the site and add a message and Twaud.io will tweet it on your behalf providing a nice short link to a page where your followers can listen to and comment on your audio clip. You can even see how many visitors it has had.

Alternatively, you can email your recorded/saved audio to Twaud.io. especially if you're on the go. It works seamlessly on iPhone Voice Memos and other devices.

Twaud.io is another cool web service for Twitter that deserves a try!

Receive Emails as SMS for FREE (No GPRS Needed)

Auto-forwarding of mail to another email account is cool. But what must be cooler is to know that we can automatically forward all inbound mails straight to our phone.


This FREE of charge auto-forwarding of mail to SMS procedure that I'm about to share works well with Globe, TM, and Sun Cellular subscribers. This trick should also work with mail providers that support forwarding just like Gmail (I don't know with Yahoo if they have this feature for free).


Ok, let me explain this: Auto-forwarding of incoming mails to our phone is made possible by 'exploiting' the FastMail service of Globe. FastMail is a whole new facility of Globe that allows you to send and receive emails using your mobile phone. Simply put, you can send SMS via email using FastMail with this format <639xxxxxxxxx>@fast.ph. With that said, I came up with a conclusion that I could actually receive my emails straight to my mobile phone for FREE.

Here's the procedure:

All we need to do is to perform a little configuration in our Gmail account:

1. Click "Settings" at the top of any Gmail page, and open the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.

2. From the first drop-down menu in the
Forwarding section, select "Add new email address".

3. Enter [email protected] (Exapmle: [email protected])

4. For security reasons, Google will send a verification code to your number shortly.

5. Open your forwarding email account, and find the confirmation message from the Gmail team.

6. Click the verification link in that email.

7. Back in your Gmail account, select the "Forward a copy of incoming mail to..." option and select your forwarding
address you've created from the drop-down menu.

8. Select the action you'd like your messages to take from the drop-down menu. You can choose to keep Gmail's copy of the message in your inbox, or you can send it automatically to All Mail or Trash.

9. Click Save Changes.

You also can set up filters to forward messages that meet specific criteria. You can create 20 filters that forward to other addresses. You can maximize your filtered forwarding by combining filters that send to the same address

Now, let's do some test by sending an email to your Gmail using other email account like Yahoo, Hotmail...etc.

FastMail should be able to deliver your email straight to your phone! That's it!

(Note: You can only view the first 55 characters of each email received. But at least, you get informed about inbound mails from time to time be it a about Facebook notifications or any.)
