This August 26 is another big day -- Comet Garradd is set to pass by the Earth (thru globular cluster M71), so some parts of the world particularly Australia will be able to see that bright “fuzzball” and the luminous tail coming to a view.

Google wants everyone around the globe to get up-close to any celestial events such as the arrival of Comet Garradd this August 26. Google, together with Slooh, has created an online mission interface so anyone can take a glimpse to any astronomical events in real-time at the comfort of their couch. (I’d love to call the project as web-based telescope).

To watch lunar eclipse and comet online without using Ultra Zoom Binocular Telescopes, just visit the official live streaming YouTube channel of Google on the event day. You should be able to see the Moon covering over the Sun or a gleaming comet passing by the Earth.

You can also watch the event live on Slooh’s mission interface, together with narration from astronomers (August 26 event will be hosted by Astronomy Magazine and NPR luminary, Bob Berman). A much cooler way to witness the event is to use your phone as telescope and watch Total Lunar Eclipse live from your Android. How To: Extract All Images Embedded In .DOC Word Documents All At Once

There may come a time when you need to extract all images inside a .DOC Word document and save them as separate PNG or JPEG files. This can be strange but there are insanely weird scenarios when a friend or a working colleague of yours will forward you a copy of images embedded in a Word file.

Exporting and saving all embedded images in a Word document can surely be a pain especially if you’re dealing with large files. Microsoft Word doesn’t have a quick option to extract and save all embedded images/pictures as separate JPEG files at the same time. While you can always save pictures from a Word file by simple right-clicking the image and choosing “Save Picture” option if any, that process is just a whole waste of time. On top of that, you’ll get prompted to save the file in the form of multiple “Save As” boxes which can be very annoying sometimes!

How To: Execute, Run PHP Scripts On Your iPhone, Android

For those who can't just seem to enjoy the base function of their iPhone or Android, here's another cool application you can install so you can start learning PHP web programming straight from your Android and iPhone device. The project is called PHP for Android, a server package for Android so you can start building web apps straight from your mobile phone device. Think of PHP for Android as PAMP (short for Personal Apache MySQL PHP for Nokia), where you can execute PHP scripts straight from your Symbian s60 device offline.
